I've already said you aren't owed an alternative. You are owed the option to leave this specific contract.

If I use your logic to it's conclusion then I shouldn't have to pay rent because "not paying for housing" isn't an alternative.

If I were to use your logic, I am not allowed to build my own house to avoid paying you rent.

You are allowed to build your own house though, if you can find unclaimed land on which to do so.

Nobody owes you the exact contract you want, you wouldn't expect that out of literally anything else yet you expect it from countries.

Lol, land is so very much claimed that it often has multiple claimants. Like I said, there is no such thing as "unclaimed" land, whether it has been vacant for centuries or not.

Cool, that's your problem. Like I said, nobody owes you the specific alternative you want.

Well not in the US anyway.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allodial_title

Briefly, you never have full claim to your property, someone (society) ALWAYS has a "superior" claim to your property.

Thanks for the link. I've not heard of "allodial title" before.

Things like eminent domain exist in areas where land is "owned", but can't people just move (if they so wish) to "unowned land". This, assuredly, is extremely difficult to do in today's world, but is not impossible.

People are also very much alive without having a permanent residence, so even then I don't see having land/a domicile as being necessary for being alive.

I watched it right up until the 58 second point. He had used incorrect statements and faulty logic before then.
It is NOT the responsibility of the land owner to re-prove ad infinitum, that he owns the land and has the legal standing to exact tribute.

This is the exact same fallacious argument that people attempted to use to avoid traffic citations in a different state than the one they lived in.
It doesn't hold any more legal water when concerning taxes, either.
