Truth be told, I didn't feel like wasting my time continuing with this article after it opened with an inflammatory and bold-faced lie. By that point, it was clear that this article was a partisan hit piece.



Several high-ranking staffers from the Trump admin have come out against Kelly's claims. Fine, you might discount Trump's former chief of staff Mark Meadows who was always a staunch Trump ally. But how about Nick Ayers, who was Pence's chief of staff and has no reason to have warm feeling or any loyalty to Trump after the way Trump threw his boss to the wolves?

As to why Kelly and Bolton might be lying right now to stop the reelection of Donald Trump: they are beholden to the military-industrial complex. After they tried - unsuccessfully - to steer Trump in an interventionist, belligerent direction during his first term, they now have good reason to fear that he might truly gut the MIC or undermine its interests during his second term.

Another interesting question is why incumbent Democratic senators like Bob Casey, Tammy Baldwin and Elissa Slotkin have recently launched campaign ads in which they tout the instances in which they helped Trump pass bills? Similarly, Democrats have strategically boosted countless stop-the-steal and hardcore MAGA candidates during GOP primaries for the 2022 midterm cycle, to great effect, winning most of the general elections against these weak candidates.

If Trump truly was the second coming of Hitler and if MAGA truly was a mortal threat to American democracy, Democratic senators wouldn't praise their cooperation with Trump and the DNC wouldn't boost MAGA candidates ahead of establishment conservatives.

But its not even really "lying". Like the whole spiel about Trump being a fascist, who will rule like a dictator, that he has no understanding of the constitution or concept of the rule of law. These are Kelly's statements.

They are not falsifiable. They do not purport facts.


Its just tired rhetoric and empty prognostication. Before the 2016 election, Hillary's camp insisted Trump would crash the economy, get us into world war 3, plunge us into civil war, use the military to arrest his critics, etc etc. As of the time Hillary and her camp said that, it could not be a true or false statement. There was no way to know. As I said, they aren't time travelers, mind readers or fate-weaving creatures of greek mythology. I voted for Trump and I wasn't entirely sure how he'd wind up, but I was pretty sure how Hillary would. But now Trump has been president for 4 of the last 8 years, and none of those prophecies came to pass. They were all wrong, and extremely hypocritical and completely backwards since everything bad they pegged on Trump came true under Biden and Kamala.

Hence we have every reason to predict that the exact opposite of what John Kelly said. That Kamala would rule like a dictator, but Trump would restore civil liberties. That Kamala would destabilize the world order and risk calamity, but Trump would restore peace. Those are well supported educated guesses. We can't know for a certainty in either case, but every piece of evidence points to it.
Kelly is only a liar insofar as he knows that his predictions are bullshit. He's not a moron, he knows Trump didn't lock up his political opponents like Biden did, he knows Trump got us out of wars and Biden got us to the brink of WW3. John Kelly is a liar making false statements only as far as those statements could possibly be falsified or purport fact- but they don't, not really. Its just wind, it means nothing, its not some october surprise bombshell, its just some retard saying 'orange man bad' for the 10347th time since 2016
