Another thing to note is that Perdue didnt actually get destroyed in the suburbs for Trump's democracy-defying post-election rhetoric, he got the same margins out of the suburbs and the atlanta area as in November - which he had won against Osoff by 1.5%. It were ruby-red rurals where turnout dropped off more than in the rest of the state, and extra high turnout in inner-Atlanta, that allowed Osoff to overcome Perdue.

Biden could've taken a principled position and fought the nonsense of Trump and Republicans. Instead, he kept the focus on the Georgia runoffs. I believe he and Kamala both campaigned in Georgia before the election. Obviously if he would've fought it hard, that could've brought Republicans together.

Yeah, I've heard the suburbs were better for Perdue, and the Trump base dropped off. Obviously because the president was pushing the voter fraud nonsense, and because a portion of his base is only motivated by him on the ticket.
