there's numerous detailed articles about drumpf's business boo-boos from the early 1990s and he wrote a book about it in 1997. the ny slimes seems to have forgotten their own article (which mentions the losses) that they wrote in 1995 https://www.nytimes.com/1995/10/25/nyregion/crowning-the-comeback-king.html none of this is new information, but the ny slimes is devoid of talent or direction so they just reprint shit and hope it sticks
then again, when you're a tabloid compromised by foreign ownership and anti-Semitic tendencies, it's not surprising the slimes continues to embarrass themselves

why bother wiriting new things when 90% of the box office successes are pre-written comic books, remakes of 70s 80s or 90s movies or TV show movie installments?

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/442449-aclu-slams-trump-for-behenna-pardon-he-should-prevent-war-crimes-not

what a bunch of pieces of shit. I know I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but this just shows how far fallen the ACLU is today.

Michael Behenna was convicted in a trial where the prosecutors suppressed exculpatory evidence in a blatant Brady violation. Whether or not he was justified morally or guilty legally, or whether a proper handling would have been a mistrial and lower murder charge- its unfathomable that a group devoted to civil liberties would decry a pardon for someone who had their civil liberties violated at trial.
The prosecutors in the trial presented their evidence to a forensic expert to prove their theory of the crime scene, that he had shot a seated man. Instead, the expert told them the evidence conclusively established that the only logical and consistent theory of the event was the testimony from Behenna- that he shot him as he was lunging at him, upright and arm outstretched. The bullet wounds showed that the shots passed through him horizontally, level with the ground, and one bullet was flattened like it had struck a wall- both inconsistent with shooting at a downward angle. The prosecutors then promptly suppressed that testimony and didn't call the expert at trial and didn't turn over the exculpatory evidence to the defense.

And the ACLU comes out and demands he be hung from the nearest tree

To be fair only a small percentage of the population has read the comics or books which movies are based on. The American public does not read. All those Chinese/South Koreans and other emerging foreign markets for Hollywood have def not seen the source materials. Are things really old if nobody has experienced them?

oh 100%. but look at the decline in writing on Game of Thrones with and without GRRM's source material. its much easier to repackage a story from a different medium than bring it to life from a base outline. most of the Marvel movies follow a direct path of one of the comic series. Most of the DC ones are hack jobs of the Justice League comics and they're not nearly as good for it.

Well, the boomers and older... read quite a bit.

I do feel kind of sorry for the younger generations as books are so much better.
In a movie you're trapped in a writers or casters imagination. In a book your own imagination is the only limit. Like MY graphics, in my head are way better than anything they've managed to do on the screen.

TVs and movies have their place, no doubt, but they just can't beat a book.

yup GRRM struggled big time with people working out R+L=J on westeros.org very early on.

i lurked the forum a lot in the early days and have re-read a lot. its shocking how some people figured shit out. but 99% of it is people guessing wrong. blind squirrels find nuts.

the last 2 episodes were terrible, just wait for the next 2. it will get so much worse. call me Bran.
