He accuses the British government of spying on him literally a day after his state visit was announced.

Stable genius indeed.

Trump defies doubters with surging economy

The U.S. economy is defying dire predictions of a slowdown this year with growth strengthening, wages rising, unemployment falling and markets rocking to new highs. [...]
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq stock indices hit new records this week after tanking hard last December on fears of an imminent global slowdown. Job growth continues to hit around 200,000 per month. And an expected 2019 slowdown has not materialized, with the first read of first-quarter growth released Friday showing the economy expanded at a strong 3.2 percent rate in the first three months of the year, much better than expected for a period marked by an ugly government shutdown.

If only he had at least some message discipline.
As the article says, he should clearly stop moaning about the Mueller report and seeking revenge on Mueller's team; he should stop engaging in ridiculous grandpa tweet battles with Joe Biden, he should focus his message on the fucking economy while he still can.

He won't he's too petty and impulsive

he could run on the economy, movement on CJR, Hemp, conservative judges and just do some typical Trump fluffing about his accomplishments in a positive way and things would go fine for him

I think his biggest waste is not hyping up CJR. it's something Republicans are more open to than ever before and with Trump giving the green light he could really push us in a great direction while also doing something for all people for a change not just himself and chumming his maga crowd

the economy taking a down turn will be a massive blow to him obviously if it happens but had he stayed focused and strong on other import things like CJR it could have helped him

as it is with how he acts things are gonna turn real sour for him if the economy starts turning and all he has to fall back on are his stable genius rants

Im not so sure that his CJR is too popular with his base. Pushing this as a common-sense, bipartisan achievement would carry the vague chance of improving his standing with moderates and swing voters, but risk alienating some of the more hawkish members of his base. For now, he needs the steadfast support of his base more than he needs those voters in the middle. I would need to see some polling on this, but not hyping up the CJR might be the smart thing for him to do in 2019. He can bring it up a lot more during the general election campaign when he has a clear-cut enemy that he can paint as the boogeyman to keep his base motivated.

They follow him through every bunch of nonsense he has done since day 1 and they are gonna back out of CJR? nah

he needs people other than his base, he barely won and has done nothing but continue to isolate himself with his base, they are loyal he needs people other than people in red hats

The follow him through a ton of nonsense, but this doesnt mean that their support for him doesnt hinge on certain pillars of his policy: a muscular yet non-interventionist foreign policy, a hawkish stance on law and order topics (like criminal justice or immigration), pushback against the culture of political correctness, an adversarial stance towards Washington and media elites, prioritizing jobs over concerns about equality or the environment.

His base is willing to forgive him his horrible personal conduct, all the stupid tweets, the gaffes, the lack of sophistication or "presidentialness", his contempt for norms and institutions - because those things are intangible and dont directly affect their own lives. The major policies Trump pursues, on the other hand, are tangible and affecting them personally.

If Trump signed a large-scale amnesty for felons, his support among his base would definitely erode.

Retard in chief.

for a medical professional to use this language is rather unbecoming mr commie! then again we can just easily conclude that you use this language because you shilled for ‘the smartest most qualified candidate of all the times’ who managed to lose in a landslide to someone you call a “retard in chief”. and now you’re denying math the election results and blaming this person for masterminding the ‘hacking of the election with russia’

*LAUGH OUT LOUD*
