Simply put, the success of "nation building" that we saw in Germany and Japan was the exception, not the norm. It was a big mistake to expect similar outcomes in Iraq or Afghanistan, and it would be an even bigger mistake to try the same, failed template in Gaza or Iran.
I doubt that the expectations of the Israeli far-right government were to raise the level of education of the Palestinians, quite the contrary...
