They post a story calling an image of two muslim men laughing at the notre dame fire as "pants on fire" and call it fake news and have their tech guy on call say its a photoshop based on some of the pixels, accusing Russia of using Sputnik to spread fake news.

Except the photo is real

They are contacted by multiple actually credible fact checkers and tech firms who point out its not a photoshop and explain to them how compression artifacting works because they're morons. Politifact is forced to include an update saying various other sources claim its real, but keep the section of their story calling it fake intact, stick by their "Pants on Fire" rating, and claim that even if the photo is real you can't know those middle eastern looking men in france with beards are actually muslim just based on their looks. Jesus christ
