He died. His family isn't scheming and nobody is offering condolences to become politicians or to get rich or to get on geraldo

A person that went through incredible tragedy and suffered the consequences of that trauma passed away from apparently a relapse around the 20th anniversary of what lead to so much of his suffering

There is no hero edge to this. The guy fucked up. He shouldn't be honored for it.

The parents said in that quote, that they will carry on the work. Translated into everyday life...that means they will raise money for a good cause, keep 75% of it, and not even feel guilty when people pat them on the back and tell them how wonderful they are. It's a scam.

The parents of the kid who got shot claims he was going around helping others. That he was an expert on this sort of thing. If he was and expert, he wouldn't have been addicted in the first place.


/e IF that kid's parents are telling the truth, then the best that kid could have done was commiserate with other addicts. Hell the parent's said he DIED from his addiction.

Wow! That's exactly how I felt when I read your post about this kid. :/

I want to live in that kid's world. All ya need to do is eat a bunch of pain killers and suddenly you are an expert on addiction.
I wonder if the local college gave him an honorary Psychiatry degree.

IMO, the only thing that kid was an expert on was how to BE an addict. Props to him for quitting... IF he actually did, which I doubt.

I know quite a few folks who were addicts of one sort or another. IF they managed to beat it, they don't run around claiming they are experts.


Like I said above.... this sounds more to me like the parents wanting to cash in on this.
