The US post 1970 also takes in people from third world countries that don't have the capacity to live better lives, creating a permanent low standard underclass.

Western Europe did the same. The UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Italy - they all have their fair share of second- and third-world immigrants. Some of which have become productive members of society, while others are living off of welfare in parallel societies and are a drag on their host countries. Not all that different from the situation in the US really, except that you have more latinos, indians and chinese while we have more africans and arabs. Go figure which one is preferable...

completely wrong. the UK has 12.8% nonwhites, France around 15%, Germany 10.3%, and the different age structure and fertility rates coupled with high immigration rates means that the nonwhite population share is set to grow substantially over the next years/decades.

that depends on what race you consider Puerto Ricans. Their skin is white, they can say the N word, and they speak spanish.

the details are tricky, but roughly 61% of americans were non-hispanic whites in mid 2016, and 77% were whites including white latinos.
african americans make up 12.7% of your population, and they are overwhelmingly families who have been living in the country for generations and are culturally integrated. (albeit economically and socially discriminated and underprivileged.)


so the share of persons who have both an at least somewhat different cultural background and whose families have migrated to the US since ww2 make up at the very most 27%, probably closer to 20% or so. (there are latinos living in the US since the 19th century...)

so thats not as far off from the numbers in some western european countries as it might seem at first glance. and the bulk of your recent immigrants are latinos, which are culturally a lot closer to you than our african and arab immigrants are to the european culture and values.
