Do you put more credibility on third hand reports of conversations of unknown context, from people with a grudge- or from the family members themselves? The sister spoke out directly and said The Atlantic was full of shit
most notably here, Jeffrey Goldberg suggested in his hit piece that the statement from Guillen's sister had been fabricated by the Trump campaign. He never asked the Guillens for comment. Mayra Guillen has a twitter, she rebuked him immediately.
So how does this work in your head. We have proof Jeffrey Goldberg is engaged in fake journalism, clearly and blatantly making shit up and violating basic guidelines and ethics. He lied about Mayra's statement, and somehow thought he would get away with it. She's right here to contradict him. Its a first party source. He could have asked her for comment, instead he relayed what she had said previously and declared it was faked by Trump's camp
So who is to be trusted here, the guy we know is lying for political reasons and clearly violating every tenet of his industry, or the sister of the murdered soldier who has no reason to lie, no national media profile, nothing to gain.
I was more focused on the comments from Trump that John Kelly goes on the record about. That's what the news is focusing on. I suppose focusing on one claim of the article is a way to ignore his longest serving chief of staff making several damning accusations against the man he served for.
Look, I know it's a cult and you guys are not capable of caring about anything, but the fact that Trump's Vice President, Chief of Staff, and so many other former officials are telling the American public not to support him is extraordinary. It's an indictment of our country that this election is even close.
