To be fair: Trump did have them in cages as well. On one or two occasions, the media used pics from the Obama years, but it also happened under Trump.

We need heads on sticks and flayed bodies at ports of entry. It's time to get medieval on this crisis. Plant landmines along the border, may as well make use of 'em if we're one of the few countries that allows it.

was it someone on his staff or a journalist that said he gets away with it because he's temporary hiring them

National security issues trump human rights in times of existential threats. Trump needs to ignore the courts and do what needs to be done.

When the american people realize this helps them they will go along with it.

Install the TamperMonkey add-on, then add this script to it: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/18587-animeftw-s-d2jsp-post-blocker/code

Edit: That only works on a per-device manner.
