Congrats on Chuck Grassley being re-elected. He's 89 years old and gets 6 more years to help lead America into a bright future.

Many races are still up in the air, so it's still too early to really asses the outcome and impact of these midterms - but one thing has become abundantly clear already: if the GOP nominates Trump again in 2024 instead of rolling with DeSantis, they are doomed and deserve the shellacking that's coming their way.

You keep repping the hammer and sickle. I'd say easy to see how I'd think you are a leftist communist.

It's like waving a lgbt flag and claiming not to support lgbt.

can't disagree, Barnes wasn't a very strong candidate and had a lot of easy points for the GOP to fear monger against him. the race was reduced to him being too woke and the race against johnson was reduced to "keeping abortion illegal in wisconsin". something johnson has no power over, and being woke doesnt really affect wisconsin lives much. it was a race of pure fear and scare tactics, the ads were eyerollingly predictable.

I guess neither side really expected a state which had been inching to the right for a couple of cycles to produce a competitive race between a 12-year incumbent and a C-list challenger in a midterm environment with Biden's approvals in the low 40s, so both sides didn't see a point in spending or focusing on this race.

yes, that is indeed the joke. its the communist mantra applied to a baby strapped into a seatbelt. so it would more be like using an LGBT slogan in a meme of a silly image.

Depends on the outcome of other races imho. If the GOP takes the House, as is expected, and Democrats win AZ and NV Senate (putting the Senate at 50D-49R), the GA runoffs would make virtually no difference to what Democrats can do in Washington over the next 2 years. In this case, spending might remain somewhat ""limited"". (Say below $400m in total spending.) If Republicans win one of AZ or NV (50R-49D), the GA runoffs would determine control of the Senate. In this case, I expect over $600m to be spent on this race. If the GOP wins both AZ and NV, the GA runoff again doesn't make that much of a difference and spending will be somewhat lower.
