good. bugs in the light get squished, bugs in the dark lay eggs.

in any case if the situation was as unsolveable as it appears it was, we should have just airlifted out however many moderates we could muster and leave the hardliners to fester in the sandy shithole that country is. maybe lean on the Saudis or UAE to take on these moderates as they're more compatible with those nations than Niqab forcing Taliban conservatives.

never squished a butterfly before.
apparently neither has the t@LiB@N because their seemingly good karma is showing:

Perhaps you're referring to the LED lamp bugs. zap.

Nah. Solution was to ignore the Taliban and simply attack the Al Qaeda cells within Afghanistan to start. The Taliban had no more interest in defending Al Qaeda than they did in picking a fight with us. They were neutral to both of us. We started a fight, and we lost.

No need to air lift their citizenry. Better idea is not to pull so many of them into 20 years of treason.

I don't really want to blame Biden for pulling out because it needed to happen but like the tactical execution of this...”come on man”

THE TALIBAN HAVE seized U.S. military biometrics devices that could aid in the identification of Afghans who assisted coalition forces, current and former military officials have told The Intercept.

The devices, known as HIIDE, for Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment, were seized last week during the Taliban’s offensive, according to a Joint Special Operations Command official and three former U.S. military personnel, all of whom worried that sensitive data they contain could be used by the Taliban. HIIDE devices contain identifying biometric data such as iris scans and fingerprints, as well as biographical information, and are used to access large centralized databases. It’s unclear how much of the U.S. military’s biometric database on the Afghan population has been compromised.

Let's not forget that the Taliban are going to ban sex with prepubescent boys by middle aged men. That's kind of a plus. :)

Thank goodness that the .01% of pedophilic gay men will now be banned, while the 50%+ of men interested in teenage girls will have state provided brides.

Ignorance is bliss. Perhaps you should look up Bacha bazi. This is a very common practice, and is not looked at as gay at all. And it's most prevalent among translators, politicians, and security forces that worked with US Military forces. In fact, US service members were specifically prohibited from intervening, and told that "it's their culture, do not interfere".

The Taliban banned this "custom" in 1996 when they took power. It swiftly came back into practice after the US invasion. It's neither uncommon nor something to be made light of.

Regarding marriage laws in Islamic Theocracies, so what? You can't even make the statement that the one theocracy on the planet that's not Islamic (Israel) should even exist. If you want to go about knocking down nations for religious laws, it's time to target the majority of the middle east and portions of Africa. Meanwhile, understand, that homosexuality and true pedophilia (aka sex with a prepubescent child) are both capital offenses in Islam. :)

im fine with all theocracies going away and i dont respect sick religious practices, and in most cases perversions of religious text to fit the purpose of sick people, at all.

if some kid in the amazon wants to become a man and he runs a hot poker through his own lip to get the respect of his tribe, even if he only does it because he's been indoctrinated since birth to do it, fine.

if you're doing female circumcision or hauling a scared young girl into the hands of a grown man that all but bought her u can fuck right off. israel likewise can fuck all the way off. kid fuckers can all rot in hell after a long slow painful death. and if you're a 40 year old with a 15 year old bride you fit the bill just as much as a sicko pedo that's now banned.
