Antifa is a terrorist organization. They are responsible for billions in property damage and tens of murders.

Jerry Basket said they don't exist though.
As did Senator Hirono.

You're just imagining the fire and shield walls.

How can you really accurately poll that though?

If you hate Trump, you will rate his performance as shit.
If you hate Biden, you will rate his performance as shit.

Both were.. yeah.

I enjoyed it though. Definitely felt like watching WWE. Lol

The poll didnt ask about the respondents' opinion of the candidates in absolute terms, it asked about how their opinion was shifted by the debate. For example, a staunch Trump supporter who's still gonna vote for him on Nov 3rd could still think a little worse of him after this debate. So these numbers dont tell us all that much about about how voting intention shifts. It's nonetheless telling that Biden had a net movement of +6 while Trump had a net movement of -18.

President Trump didnt cover himself in glory tonight. Didnt self-destruct completely either. so just like 2016’s first debate when Hillary had low expectations and performed well (as should be expected of a lifelong politicial figure)z I expected more of Biden due being a lifelong swamp demon and his takedown of Paul Ryno in 2012. He has show he is a fantastic winner of debates at time (not to be confused with good debater) and tonight he looked awful but sounded okay. Trump looked fine but sounded brash.

Trump definitely seemed more memorable. I was reading Tim Pools tweets and he mentioned, people don't remember what you say -- but they do remember what you made them feel.

I was laughing at some of Trump's comments and clapping a few times (though that also might be because I'm obviously voting for the guy).

At the "you'd have that problem but nobody will show up" -- when Biden argued against Trump's crowded rally's in regards to COVID.

The Hunter Biden smears.

Donald Trump is definitely a performer and entertainer.

Joe Biden was kind of just there. Not much substance from his statements. Him looking at the camera pointing to it and saying "This is about you, the American people", felt like an awkward poorly scripted tv commercial.

Just my thoughts. Some people will probably be put off by the Trump interruptions.

I think back to 2012 when liberals said "the media isn't biased, youre just wrong." Those fuckers got what they deserved.

They didnt make their polling methodology public. Their words are meaningless.

Hilarious lol. I'm sure Jim Jordan will or has used the clip for something. Or maybe Ted Cruz.

Autocorrected from Nadler to Basket. Whoops.

that said there will be 2 more debates plus the VP one which really helped Trump’s ticket in 2016.

I'm not sure there will be nearly as much attention being paid to the next 2 Trump/Biden debates.

The point about the VP debate is a good one though. With Biden being ancient and looking his age, there will be increased scrutiny on Kamala. If she puts in a really bad performance, this might have an effect at the margins, with some on the fence voters saying "I really dont want this woman anywhere near the White House, let alone being one heartbeat of a septuagenarian away from taking over".

Yeah, it's been pretty wild. I never really cared about politics pre-2016. And really only recently got involved in them, probably early 2019ish.

It's really made me rethink a lot of things.

Like Snowden for example. I just assumed the guy was an absolute crook from the media coverage. But the guy exposed mass unconstitutional surveillance by the govt, he really could be considered a hero to some people.

I also do remember seeing Antifa videos even back in 2015 with Ferguson. Lol. Never saw the media cover them at all.

i dont think this was his best performance. it doesn’t shock me either. it wasn’t his worst either, the first 2016 debate was much less coherent and then he got slammed with access hollywood tapes.

Yes Trump had some great one-liners but Biden got to repeat debunked lefty media talking points (again) with limited rebuttal

biden is running on a platform of half bernie 2016-2020 and half trump 2016. he is borrowing a populist message and pretending he isnt a swamp demon in the process. it’s on President Trump to defeat that message.
