In reality, a huge part of civilized human culture is based on our ability to process 'if statements'.

First off, son, we aren't coding here. Second off, the statement (which isn't a question, like the one you presented me with), "if you work here you'll receive a paycheck" really does get us nowhere, because to hear that statement I would probably be looking for a job, and that statement, wouldn't impress me very much or make me think that a job was in the offering.

You need to work on your analogies a bit.

"If you continue to weigh 600lb you will die from a stroke before you are 50"
