yuo've actually shown exactly what I'm talking about - If your in a convertible car going 70 mph and you throw a doll into the air - it will land 100 feet behind the car. If the earth is moving at 1000 mph and you jump into the air, you land back in the same exact spot - ergo - the earth is not spinning.

Ive heard a way to invalidate this is by running both directions on a moving train.

Uh, if you're in a convertible and throw something straight up into wind that's pushing backward, then yes. That's dumb. I mean a car with the windows up. You'll see, over and over, that whatever you're throwing behaves exactly the same as it does when you aren't moving.

what? what logic is false? gravity works at an infinite range but its inversely proportional to the square of distance. What grade of school did you drop out at, be serious for a moment.
