I know some truly pathetic humans to get a creative writing degree and then pen it as an English degree.



GPA in a masters program doesn't mean jack.

It barely means anything in undergrad.

It is, but your GPA doesn't really matter unless it's specifically a degree that is heavy in specific coursework (which usually means it's a degree used as a way specifically to strengthen your app for a different graduate program).

It's really easy to get a 3.8/4.0 in the vast majority of masters degrees because most of your work should be spent in the other aspects of the degree outside of coursework, like research.
