You realize the reason we say it's an open air prison is because Israel literally controls everything in and out that isn't done through secret tunnels or some other form of smuggling, and that the people can't leave, and they aren't allowed basic things like construction materials to rebuild, or medicine.... among other things.

and israel is the ones keeping them from getting it?

no it doesn't. you didn't say anything about it, and that doesnt' make sense. so israel is a port and not supplying a foreign nation with supplies, just a specific zone of that foreign nation, why dont' they just trade for these items from other ports?

You literally don't know the first thing about this situation if you don't even know Israel blockades them from receiving products. So no, they can't trade for these items from other ports. They are literally violently kept from doing so by Israel.

Who started the conflict? Sounds like a siege tactic. If Israel was attacked first, they are in the right by default.

It's been going on for about a thousand years.
