e/ nvm, I was confusing state versus local

local went from 100 to 150 in a day, but we're ramping up testing too.

Somebody in the animal facility I work in tested positive and 10 people are quarantined, so my days got busier since I have to do more routine maintenance now.

Here in Minnesota, our daily case counts are adding about 10% of the previous days' case load. We're just over 2 weeks into mandated social distancing, though they stepped it up even more on Friday.

Several churches getting in trouble for refusing to stop large gatherings.

We're not respecting this at all in my community. My wife and I both work for hospital systems now so our works are, but the general public isn't.

Us Minnesotans are good Scandinavian stock. We take pride in being good citizens. Sweden isn't doing any mandatory closings of primary schools or businesses, and just leaving it up to their citizens to do the right thing, which for the most part they are.

American culture is to make up for our lack of efficiency by working 80 hour weeks.

We'll push through this by sacrificing our older generation. It's not a good way, but we'll push through it.
