While I agree with this particular move, let's not get carried away too much. Throwing money around at a time when you can borrow it almost interest-free and a health crisis silences all potential critics isnt exactly a huge feat.

Thing is, we cant keep this up indefinitely. And whoever ends this program will get a lot of heat too.

This is not welfare, it's a fake, a deflection, especially during a pandemic where the major problem is vulnerable population afraid to pay private & overpriced hospitalization or to go to see a doctor.

/nb: public housing, public healthcare, unemployment benefits, free or close to higher grade education are "welfare"...
