Interesting article:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/11/opinion/campaign-stops/how-many-people-support-trump-but-dont-want-to-admit-it.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=1

Basically, there might be a lot of people out there that support Donald Trump (particularly white Democrats and moderates) who won't voice it simply because they are scared of the social backlash they might face.

I mean it would depend on what "support" constitutes.

Do i think the govt is an overbloated shitfest full of fraud, abuse, and wasted funds? sure.

Do i think political correctness has become too broad? sure.

Do i think illegal immigration needs quite a bit of work? sure.

Do i hate career politicians? sure.

Do i think corporations own some politicians? sure.

Are our trade agreements well done? no.

Does the immigration system need to address the threat of radical islam? yes.

On paper it looks like i agree with trumps platform more or less, would i ever vote trump though, not a chance in hell.

But that's why Trump has risen to sucess, he says nothing that people don't agree with to some extent or another. He's good at identifying problems, solutions less so.

Trump has identified plenty of solutions already. People just don't like those solutions because they're not whitewashed and are straight to the point.

Problem with illegal immigration? Build a wall. Walls DO work. Look at Israel, Hungary, even Mexico's southern border.

Problem with radical Islamic terrorists? Ban Muslim refugees until a better vetting system is put into place.

He was the only one brave enough to propose these solutions while everyone else was too afraid of being called racist to even mention the problems. I think that's one of the reasons many people secretly like him despite them not saying so publicly due to fear of backlash from crazy SJWs.

Latest polls show he's beating Hillary in many key states, and is closing the gap nationally. I'm calling it now, soon Hillary will be trailing him in all polls. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-poll-idUSKCN0Y21TN?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=Social

Shit troll is still shit...

half of Trump's "solutions" aren't even constitutional. his war tactics are war crimes. and every check and balance put in place will be against him.

"shoot yourself in the brain" is a solution to "how do i stop my headache" but an asprin is more pragmatic. None of trump's solutions are pragmatic at all, much less realistic to expect passing congress.

Its funny that the same crowd that's been beating the constitution for decades now to prop up gun rights are now happy to shit on it when it comes to unconstitutional proposals from the lizard overlord...

You say "unconstitutional" like a broken record but you havent listed any actual policies.

Ok lets start with his muslim ban directly violating the equal protection clause. Then lets move over to his comments about selective surveillance in both Hispanic and Muslim communities that violate that same 14th amendment. His comments about censoring the media are a shot at the first amendment. His assurance that he would bring back waterboarding and "much worse" presumably against domestic terrorists raise more issues.

Perhaps you should stick to trying to simultaneously claim homosexuality is a choice and then also convince others that homosexuals are disproportionately sexual abusive parents. As if those two make sense at all...

Did you seriously just reference something that is unanimously known as an unconstitutional act, and then call me a dumbass?

Wow smh.
