What does all the ice melting have to do with anything? Are you thinking of a flood that lasted for 40 days? If you read the Scripture it says the rain lasted for 40 days and 40 nights. The whole Earth flooded for about a Year. Oh don't worry about scratching any more of the surface. Let the actual pros handle that one.
