Pennywise the Clown scared the shit out of me as a kid, for the record.

But I'm actually politically entrenched in my city and have ambition....so...gonna respectfully pass :)

Yeah I'm terrified of the danged thing most of them really, that's why I made it for my Oct. sig/ava.

And yeah you've got a pretty great thing going, any adoptive father would be quite proud.

The white guy, Peter Norman, has a pretty sad story.

Quote
The 200 metres at the 1968 Olympics started on 15 October and finished on 16 October; Norman won his heat in a time of 20.17 seconds which was briefly an Olympic record.[9] He won his quarter final and was second in the semi.

On the morning of 16 October, U.S. athlete Tommie Smith won the 200 metre final with a world-record time of 19.83 seconds.[10][11] Norman finished second in a time of 20.06 s, and U.S. athlete John Carlos was in third place in 20.10 s. Norman's time was his all-time personal best[1] and an Australian record that still stands.

After the race, the three athletes went to the medal podium for their medals to be presented by David Cecil, 6th Marquess of Exeter. On the podium, during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner", Smith and Carlos famously joined in a Black Power salute.

Norman wore a badge on the podium in support of the Olympic Project for Human Rights (OPHR). After the final, Carlos and Smith had told Norman what they were planning to do during the ceremony. As Martin Flanagan wrote; "They asked Norman if he believed in human rights. He said he did. They asked him if he believed in God. Norman, who came from a Salvation Army background, said he believed strongly in God. We knew that what we were going to do was far greater than any athletic feat. He said, 'I'll stand with you'." Carlos said he expected to see fear in Norman's eyes. He didn't; "I saw love."[12] On the way out to the medal ceremony, Norman saw the OPHR badge being worn by Paul Hoffman, a white member of the US Rowing Team, and asked him if he could wear it.[13] It was Norman who suggested that Smith and Carlos share the black gloves used in their salute, after Carlos left his pair in the Olympic Village.[4] This is the reason for Smith raising his right fist, while Carlos raised his left.

Australia's Olympic authorities reprimanded him for his gesture and the Australian media ostracised him.[4] Despite Norman running qualifying times for the 100 m five times and 200 m 13 times during 1971-72, the Australian Olympic track team did not send him, or any other male sprinters, to the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, the first modern Olympics since 1896 where no Australian sprinters participated.[13]
Later years

Norman kept running, but in 1985 contracted gangrene after tearing his Achilles tendon during a charity race, which nearly led to his leg being amputated. Depression, heavy drinking and pain killer addiction followed.[14] Norman quit athletics after the decision not to field a track & field men's team in the 1972 Olympics and took up Australian rules football.[15]
Death

Norman died of a heart attack on 3 October 2006 in Melbourne at the age of 64.[13] US Track and Field Federation proclaimed 9 October 2006, the date of his funeral, as Peter Norman Day. Thirty-eight years after the three made history, both Smith and Carlos gave eulogies and were pallbearers at Norman's funeral.[6]

Social Services = Bribes to the Libertarian mind. The state should only exist so that it protects the interest of the wealthy and so that the wealthy can buy the Right of Might in nature by strong men who are just willing to make whores of their souls to be these plutocrat's lapdogs and thugs.

I love how you guys pay lip service to but wipe your ass with the American Constitution anytime there is something you don't like. It is a fucking Chinese Buffet to you guys. Naturalization? Nope, don't like that. General Welfare Clause? failed kindergarten so fuck that, just useless prose inserted into the very beginning by mistake. Regulations to prevent trades between party A and B hurting unrelated party C? Nope, if party C was worth considering, he would have a team of lawyers already involved in the process.

You can have your memes, I'll take the Constitution:

I know the actual Constitution is tl:dr for you people, but Article I, Section 8, essentially reads, "eat a dick Cam".

What induced your drug addled brain to come to the conclusion that i support or should support everything authorized by the constitution? (or pretended to be authorized w/ a completely butchered interpretation)
The government authorizing themselves to do things doesn't make it necessarily right and it doesn't mean it will have good outcomes.

The implication that you are some kind of constitutional champion is a joke.
The general welfare clause was not meant to allow the government to do anything they want.
The constitution was meant to limit government and protect liberty. You have an utter disgust for both.
Its cited by small government types to at least try to keep the government constrained to their enumerated powers.. coercive powers which you support rapidly expanding and straining to push your totalitarian agenda.

Its funny you talk about person A and B negatively effecting person C..
You want person A and B to be able to do just about anything they want to person C and their property.. Democracy YAY!

Meanwhile the trades you want to stop that supposedly "hurt" certain people are mutually beneficial trades with people from other countries.. How dare they not purchase from your preferred local unionized businesses instead.
They have names for this sort of policy: its called protectionism and crony corporatism and its not good at all for the flourishing of the masses.
