Agreed.
83% is actually a pretty low value for a republican. And the times where he voted against Trump were not some small, procedural bills, they were on high-stakes bills like the ACA repeal.
Graham did receive a substantial amount of flak from the Trump supporters while he was antagonizing the President in 2017. They only started liking Graham when he saved the day during the Kavanaugh hearings and started aligning himself more with the president.
When it comes to McCain, many of the "Trumpy republicans" didnt like him before Trump even emerged on the political scene. His warmongering, his weak stance on immigration, his constant calls for compromise with an increasingly emboldened and progressive left, his lukewarm 2008 campaign*, all of that didnt really endear him to this segment of the republican base.
*to be fair, McCain's weak campaign didnt matter, no one would have been able to defeat Obama in 2008.
Rand Paul is at 71%. But the Trump cult loves him because he's an apologist for the president. That's the whole point... it's not about ideas, it's about support for the dear leader.
Sure, the Fox News Republicans hate anyone who compromises. And then nothing gets done, and they just can't figure out why.
