My mind's already blown. You actually think that the information in Wiki... (anyone can edit) is... more accurate than watching the leaders of South Vietnam begging the US to help them, LIVE on TV.
This includes all those after the fact sources.
The reason half the US was violently opposed to the US being in Vietnam was that they felt that South Vietnam's problem wasn't enough reason to have to send our kids to war.
I realize that to you, secondary, way after the fact reasons are more believable than information from those who had actually lived through it. But they have clinics that will help you with that.
if you were able to read properly, you would have noticed that i explained how you easily find the source material by using wiki (which, yes, is most definitely not the perfect place to learn history - but still infinitely more accurate and informed than your ignorant ass).
what you see 'live on tv' is just what you're supposed to see. you see people (president & secretary of defense) lie about the gulf of tonkin incident, just like you later saw an ambassador's daughter posing as an eyewitness to lie about iraqi soldiers murdering babies. why? to generate public support for wars - and it works, even decades later as gullible fools like you, who never bothered to question those things, perfectly illustrate...
