Oh, look...Ghot with the wrong take on this, like usual.

Do you know that artificially inflating net worth to obtain a bank loan is illegal?

But Trumpets don't care if Dear Leader did anything illegal, because it's all about party and "their guy".

The law and order party that doesn't care about the law and wants political opposition locked up without due process

I did understand what I'll take "posts completely tangential... " meant, I just don't agree with you that it IS off topic. You just don't want to hear the answer.

The majority of this country is white.
Ever since 2016, the entire left has complained about not seeing Trump's tax returns.
They have ALSO complained about white folk picking on everyone else.

Then, miracle of miracles, the left expects the same folks they blame for everything, to get behind their demand that Trump show his tax returns.

I would bet that there is some funny stuff in his tax returns. I'd also bet that there is funny stuff in most rich folks tax returns.

And as for "wants opposition party locked up w/o due process", puleeeeze.

You have long showed that you support law and order to the harshest degree on the poor and on minorities

And at every opportunity you have failed to show yourself principled or consistent in the matter when the law comes around to your party or ideology

What do Trump's arguments and knowledge look like? I always point back to this speech as my go-to example;
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/statement-president-trump-paris-climate-accord/

He cited his sources, gave the facts and figures, laid out a cogent argument. I'm sure you won't look past his trademark hyperbole and superlatives and see only the style, but the logic is right there. And what was the 'intellectual' response? The fact-checking pundits insisted that 3% growth was impossible. Politifact even 'fact checked' his purely rhetorical statement about the citizens of pittsburgh not paris. Krugman probably got out of his apocalypse bunker he has been hiding in since election night only to see his shadow and retreat.

In an era of identity politics, weaponized morality and utterly retarded mindbogglingly anti-intellectual retardisms like the Green New Deal, I don't see how you can pretend a faction that embraces smug intellectual youtubers is the party of anti-intellectuals. Oh noes, they're watching Jordan Peterson deliver a monologue of nuanced deconstruction of rhetorical tropes employed by illogical zealots, that stupid generation is getting its mind rotted by internet access! Look away Billy!

Really? A scripted speech written by his advisers is the example of Trump's knowledge and intellectualism?

So that's the key to really understanding what's in Trump's head? Ignore the tweets, ignore the off-script statements, ignore the interviews where he sounds absolutely mad... just focus on the statements that he didn't even write? Sounds reasonable.

Didn't the Trumpists abandon Peterson a while ago because he opposed one of Trump's policies or something? But hey, continue to conflate Republican voters as a whole, with young Republican voters who like Shapiro, with Trumpist true believers who think Candance Owens and Charlie Kirk are the future of conservatism. Ben Shapiro was a never Trumper btw.

See... blaming the white boi, yet again. Erroneously, I might add.

Ya know why Trump won? He won because he saw the entire left decided to get the minorities vote by blaming the majority for everything.
Trump said to himself...holy crap, I can win this election just by taking the majorities side.

The left also decided that they would have open borders to get even more minority vote. And Trump, again, siding with the majority, went anti-immigration. Another win for Trump.

Funny part is, the left still hasn't realized that you don't win elections by slamming the majority of the US.

/e Keep in mind this isn't about color for the right. It seems to be about color for the left, and Trump used that against them.

there's a difference between knowledge, intellect, and how someone represents themselves to the public. Would you prefer someone who looked good to the world (great speeches, friendly with allies, etc) but made questionable decisions or someone who looked questionable to the world but made good decisions?

Tbh, I'd prefer someone who could cover both bases.

We all would. But we had to take what we could get.

>policy and speeches on policy don't matter when any President does them, only tweets
>everyone i don't like/drumpf supporters and drumpf are anti-intellectual. they are 'probably the least knowledge'

you're a privileged, 'snarky lefty' now (your own words) so knock off the tired, directionless rambling about stuff you have zero knowledge on. if you did have any sort of insight on anything other than losing, you wouldn't think losers like 1-for-38 Kasich were the best chance at a Republican winning in 2016 (maybe you thought the election was a buffet eating contest, to be fair)

e: reported, btw

It is off topic, as what you said doesn't pertain to the article I posted. I mentioned the tax returns simply as a tie in to showing asset value with regard to net worth. The article talks about Trump's relationship with Deutsche Bank, and the allegations that he overinflated his net worth to get loans (an action which is illegal, BTW).

Instead, you were all "bUt MuH wHiTe MaJoRiTy AnD sOcIaLiSm".
