during all of these press conferences nearly every CEO has personally thanked Trump, not sure what for. It's not like he's handling the organization or outreach. he sits in an office and puts a stamp on things then undermines the actual experts and organizers at every turn. In reality the thanks is to Trump for not going full shutdown, because they might lose billions in that scenario.
What's the point of giving him the podium in the first place? What purpose does that serve? This isn't a campaign rally.
This is also happening in the context of Trump's presidency. For people who aren't brain dead and are turned off by Trump's constant bullshit for years, and then some nutty CEO comes up to the podium and tells us Jesus loves Trump, it puts a bad taste in your mouth. The reservoir of leeway dried up a long time ago.
People always overreact. I'm just saying it was inappropriate, the guy should be praised for making masks, and criticized for making an ass of himself.
