I don't understand Trump's obsession with McCain. His comments serve no goal and just look plain bad. I get he doesn't like the guy but he just constantly shoots himself in the foot trying to get another jab in.

Republicans have controlled the Senate the entire time, and McConnell doesn't want to send Trump anything he can veto(it's the Trump party now, not the Republican party). Revoking the emergency declaration has been the one exception. Obviously the context for the other presidents is entirely different.

And the reason anyone would call Trump a dictator is for the emergency declaration in the first place, not the veto.

obama issued 2 vetos during his first two years in office, a time where his party still had unified control of congress.

the alternative to trump in 2016 was, and to this date still is, a comprehensive victory of liberals, sjws and their whole agenda.

that's what really matters. I guess that a lot of conservatives would like a less erratic standard bearer for their cause, would like a more efficient and less inconsistent person to be the one thing standing between them and total annihilation in the "culture wars".
