It's not appropriate. And our politics have become so insane that people who point out the obvious are supposedly the assholes. Every anti-anti-Trump whiner on conservative Twitter would say the same thing if it was Obama or Hillary in the White House.

Im pretty sure Trump has been encouraging him to run for office himself, what articles are saying anyway. I'm enjoying these functional meetings more and more tbh. Trump's version of the fireside chat is more or less a business meeting where other powerful people state what they are doing to help the crisis. He's had the CEOs from Maytag, GE, other big businesses on air...he is a defender of the business class and their interests but he is at least having them state their actions publicly and for those who are doing nothing the silence will be deafening.

while i agree it was inappropriate, it should be said when you make a sacrifice or even an adjustment professionally for the good of the nation you should get leeway. eyerolls are the proper response, not vitriol and boycotts.

during all of these press conferences nearly every CEO has personally thanked Trump, not sure what for. It's not like he's handling the organization or outreach. he sits in an office and puts a stamp on things then undermines the actual experts and organizers at every turn. In reality the thanks is to Trump for not going full shutdown, because they might lose billions in that scenario.
