Yeah, but we live in the present, not the yesterday. Clearly, Trump would totally lose. In fact, the only reason AOC wouldn't beat him is because she's not 35 yet. Admit it, you'd vote for her twice (maybe thirty thrice, if you live in Chicago, and have some dead relatives).
trump is a good campaigner, and we have no idea who the dems would put up against him. kamala harris, for example, has shown several glimpses of clumsiness and bad judgement, beto has his head in the clouds, is super weak on most issues and his open border stance (he literally said to a tv journalist that he'd tear down the existing border walls if he could) will not play well with the swing voters he'd need to flip. sanders is a total wildcard, we simply dont know how much pull his economic message would have with centrists and conservatives, and how much the socialism-scare would still deter voters in this day and age.
biden and klobuchar are the only ones where I'd be almost sure that they'd beat trump. (hatred for trump would drive liberals and progressives to the ballot, and these two are best positioned to win back the obama-trump voters in the midwest.)
if trump's approval rating was at around 36% or so, I'd agree that trump would lose. but not when his approval is 41-42% befoer the campaign even begins, before he even has an opponent to spar with.
