He should focus on bringing more people in. Benghazi and affair talk won't change any minds.

...seems he's launching some trial balloons like " the rich will pay more in taxes " to see how it affects his poll numbers .

He tried back tracking a bit saying more than his current plan not more than now but he was definitely testing the waters

By the end of this I would not be surprised if he also abandons being pro life again

...I think his overall approach will now be " everything is negotiable " as a part of his " art of the deal " thinking .

At what point would you abandon Trump?

What is one thing he could head to the left on that would cause you to jump ship if any?

Really depends on how much power he would truly have, which depends on who else is in office at the congressional level.

And then that answer varies accordingly.

His talks with expanding the patriot act just to fuck with immigrants troubled me a bit. For him to jump to that of all things so willingly was troubling to say the least.

The good news for you is that win or lose Trump is probably going to control our political narratives (and maintain the ability to destroy weaker candidates) via twitter for the next 20 years

Hopefully whatever phoenix arises from the ashes of the Republican party will understand that you don't have to bend to the will of the media to get elected and will find some nice middleground between being a pushover like Jeb and being an asshole like Trump.

Also yes, guilty pleasure. Seeing the Bush dynasty get torn to shreds via shit as simple as some tweets felt good.
