Not quite. They defend against xenophobia and systemic violence directed at specific ethnic groups while also heavily criticizing religious fundamentalism. Supporting the LGBTQ community and defending them from the violent rhetoric of the right is analogous to their fight against Islamophobia.

It’s also funny to me that the right does nothing to help the LGBTQ community and in fact implements policy that accomplishes exactly what Islamic fundamentalists call for... and then they try to call out Islamic fundamentalists for doing exactly what they do. That’s where the true hypocrisy and irreconcilable stances lie.

NATO is and always will be a defensive pact. 2% rule is a goal, not even a hard line that is set for 2020. Total US defense expenditure isn't just in favour of NATO members.
