I don't think Harris will make it. She doesn't really have "it" to be perfectly honest. Beto does, but he's young and will probably have a Perry "oops" moment or a Robo Rubio moment. Booker is my dark horse pick because he has the charisma and the vision that people crave.

I also dont think that Harris has "it". I think she'd be a lousy candidate for the general election. But she has strong support from her home state California, which has both the highest number of delegates in the primary, and the most numerous and wealthy donors. On top of that, California is, in a certain sense, the heart and soul of today's Democratic party, its "power center". And she has the highest "intersectionality score" out of the primary field.

I agree on Booker as well. He has a strong message, the charisma, a good message and policy positioning (not too liberal or too moderate). His ties to Wall Street and the degree to which he is a career-driven and -focused politician are his biggest disadvantage imho. But overall, I think he'd be a decent candidate for the general election.

Harris doesn't have this state locked up at all. She'll likely win the plurality of delegates but even the mayor of LA says it's not a sure thing.

But the same is true for Beto in Texas, Warren in Massachusetts or Gillibrand in New York. No one has his home state firmly locked up at this stage, except perhaps for Sanders with tiny Vermont and Klobuchar with Minnesota.

Harris has by far the strongest ties, connections and name recognition in California. Considering how much bigger and richer California is compared to the other states, this objectively gives her a big boost. The only other state which could somewhat compete, particularly in terms of fundraising, is New York, but its only candidate, Gillibrand, doesnt seem to take off at all.

My bet is on Sanders because his supporters are the most fanatical in a field that is likely split between 10+ candidates.

the DNC, the donor class and the media will try everything in their power to prevent him from winning.

No way he’s getting the nomination. In today’s world it’s impossible to win if you aren’t pro Wall Street.

I kind of hope he does, just to see various companies that hate and talked shit about Trump all of the sudden be on Trump team because Bernie would be coming for their lunch

They'll be in a pickle then.

If the companies boycott Bernie their stocks will drop from loss of customers and if they support Bernie their stocks will crash because muh socialism.
