When sponsoring ideologically aligned groups and candidates its one thing. When you're infiltrating and manipulating a group you disagree with in hopes of swaying their internal opinions its another thing.
And it certainly stakes out Google's ideology as being hostile to populist conservatism.
It does, indeed. That's no surprise though.
Let's be real: corporate america has been infiltrating and corrupting mainstream liberalism/the mainstream of the democratic party in the same fashion for decades. Warren et al. are now pushing democrats away from taking this kind of "dirty" money from ideologically hostile forces, and at some point, the republicans will have to do the same. They will also have to rely more on small donor contributions and in particular refuse to take money from open border proponents, or those who want to sell us out to the chinese, or those who want to aggressively push america into yet another war, and so on.
