Masks don't work by blocking individual coronavirus particles. They work by stopping water droplets, which are larger than 10 µm and are more easily blocked by the mask than smoke particulates.

If most coronavirus spread was done by airborne spread (in which the virus survives as a lone particle) then this graphic would indeed show that masks aren't very useful, but that isn't how most of the spread takes place.

There are diseases that spread via aiborne spread and those need special negative pressure hospital rooms to prevent infection of surrounding rooms.
