The outcry over confederate statues is probably the loss of cultural icons, and we've already seen that there's been calls for the toppling of other icons that have nothing to do with the confederacy. Considering what's actually happened in regards to calls for the removal of figures like Jefferson and Washington, I'd say that concern is justified.

No one is "upset over teaching the damaging effects of slavery". You're using those words to obfuscate the truth about CRT. That's not what CRT does.

My original argument, and remains so, is that Democrats were the slave owners, and still are through welfare and dependency. That has little to do with the union jack. You're thinking too small and petty, as usual.
