One interesting thing about Trump's actions is that basically every serious conservative in the media supports impeaching and removing him over it. With the Ukraine scandal, it was probably 50/50.

why would that even be relevant when the votes to impeach him a 2nd time nearly identical to the 1st?

I just find it interesting that there's consensus, even among Trump sympathetic conservatives. These people don't have much influence on voters though.

oh ya i 100% got what u meant.

people who accept the "we closed the border" bullshit from the GOP are silly. its just said to set up Biden, so later they can claim immigration issues were solved so now they must all be his fault. first person murdered by an illegal will somehow be Joe's entire fault lol.

Yeah, I mean Biden has already said during his campaign that he intends to stop any border wall construction

as he should, it was always a short sighted idea that had terrible cost/benefit analysis.

even if the wall was 100 feet tall, 50 feet deep, and has drones to shoot down people or demolish tunnels it wouldnt do much but force people to go the canada route or jump into shipping containers and enter one of thousands of ports.

the wall stops some real % of entry, its just that (for random numbers) it stops like 10% incurs far too great a cost.

its like my dads house, he had his basement flood and spent a few grand to seal the walls from the outside. it slowed the leaks, but he still has standing water in a hard rain. eventually he just took everything out of the basement and said fuck it. water finds the path of least resistance. only solution would be to build a pond in his yard to catch the water. thats what we should do with mexico.

Believe me, unless that wall is imbued with magical powers that automatically prevents people from bypassing it, all it's going to do is cause an inconvenience. Further, the biggest threat to border security isn't hundreds of miles of open border. It's Border Patrol Agents taking bribes and pure fucking stupidity, like the "zero tolerance" child separation policy. It's clear to me that America is run by retards. Bombing people in the middle-east does not stop them from hating you. It increases hate. When I make this argument to hillbillies I just ask them what they would do if we were invaded. "I'd fight". Well, there ya go. Who could have possibly predicted another country wouldn't respond well to us invading. Who the fuck would have thought. So there's your issue #1. White people in suits created thousands of brown terrorists. Thanks Bush. The zero tolerance policy is essentially the same fucking thing but directed against someone we share a physical fucking border with.

Border Patrol Agent corruption is a serious issue that has been an issue for twenty fucking years. The very idea of "building a wall" instead of using that money to increase oversight and training of BP was evidence enough to me that the top law enforcement officials in charge weren't smart enough to consult experts to tell them that. My guess is they know that already though. My guess is Trump wanted to build the wall as a grift. His family was in a place to profit massively from a project like that should they get their people in. I believe there were a few articles sometime last year showcasing the connection Trumps family personally has to quite a few contractors on the wall. Shocking to no one those same contractors were severely over budget and had completed nowhere close to what was promised.

Sadly, first person abroad being murdered by an American will probably be Biden's fault as well.

(CNN)Federal prosecutors offered the most chilling description yet of rioters who seized the Capitol last week, writing in a new court filing that the intention was "to capture and assassinate elected officials."

The view was included in a memo seeking to keep Jacob Anthony Chansley, who rallied people inside the Capitol using a bullhorn, in detention. According to Capitol Police information included in the filing, Chansley was notable for his headdress, face paint and carrying of a six-foot spear.

"Strong evidence, including Chansley's own words and actions at the Capitol, supports that the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States government," government prosecutors wrote.

The allegations, written by Justice Department lawyers in Arizona, come as the government have begun describing in more alarming terms what transpired.
