Everytime someone with a blue checkmark makes an oopsies : "I haven't done anything wrong, look at these ists flooding my mentions".
I can never figure out if they're genuinely delusional because they read too much twitter and think everyone is out to get them or it's just a cynical tried and true way to get people to feel sympathy for you and help push back the "trolls".
It's either a cynical ploy or we're all really slaves to our biology. I don't know which is worse honestly.
if we set aside the "ist" aspect its to me just pure defensiveness. i see this a lot in my job when im training people. they'll just lie, so i have some tried and true ways to expose those lies and i try to curb that behavior as soon as possible. people cant accept they've done something wrong, our egos on average are too large even for non-narcissists. but when you have 1 million people watching as you screw up its so much worse, and they just reach out for any support groups they can.
its typical "yes i was wrong but you're more wrong for noticing not to mention making a big deal out of it" behavior. deflection at it's finest. mixing race, gender, sexuality, nationality, or anything else into deflection is a bad look.
