Everytime someone with a blue checkmark makes an oopsies : "I haven't done anything wrong, look at these ists flooding my mentions".

I can never figure out if they're genuinely delusional because they read too much twitter and think everyone is out to get them or it's just a cynical tried and true way to get people to feel sympathy for you and help push back the "trolls".

It's either a cynical ploy or we're all really slaves to our biology. I don't know which is worse honestly.

if we set aside the "ist" aspect its to me just pure defensiveness. i see this a lot in my job when im training people. they'll just lie, so i have some tried and true ways to expose those lies and i try to curb that behavior as soon as possible. people cant accept they've done something wrong, our egos on average are too large even for non-narcissists. but when you have 1 million people watching as you screw up its so much worse, and they just reach out for any support groups they can.

its typical "yes i was wrong but you're more wrong for noticing not to mention making a big deal out of it" behavior. deflection at it's finest. mixing race, gender, sexuality, nationality, or anything else into deflection is a bad look.

Can someone make a script that makes "as a black woman in america" size 100 font and bold. it would make twitter a lot more fun.

it seems that in the journalism world there are more people than any other field that love to hurl criticism of others but cannot take any criticism of themselves. they never are held accountable for spreading wrong information or outright getting things wrong over and over again. they can only profit from creating chaos and if you call them out on it they’ll double-down on their idiocy and claim you’re “damaging the 4th estate”

Am I on crazy pills? Why is Biden running to the left after effectively winning the primary?

Perhaps these two policies are polliing really well? Adopting popular policies is never wrong.

The implicit assumption behind "candidates gravitate toward the center during the general election campaign" is that the ideological middleground between the parties does indeed represent the median voter, at least roughly. When it comes to various social security and welfare state policies in the U.S., this is evidently not true - the American median voter is noticeably to the left of the ideological middle on many of these issues.

Cause bringing in the progressive movement is necessary to prevent the sort of division that Hillary faced in 2016. How can Trump effectively attack this? He doesn't care about the deficit, he can't even pretend to. Though it would be fun to watch him try.

Was the problem in 2016 really division, or was it just low turnout though?

No matter what he does, the progressives will never be excited about Biden. No one is gonna come to the polls to vote for the bankruptcy bill.
Free college might turn out the college kids though, so that's a smart move.

Hillary's turnout in 2016 was higher than Obama's turnout in 2012. Her issue wasn't turnout, but where the turnout happened, i.e. not in the key states that they needed.

Biden pushing college tuition and bankruptcy is great for the areas that Hillary didn't get turnout in 2016.

Biden is a shell candidate for the DNC to put together a frankstein of policy platform rhetoric aimed at one goal: defeating President Trump. it sure as hell isn’t aimed at actually attempting to put forth some coherent agenda dedicated towards making the country any better

That's not true. The voting eligible population turnout in 2016 was slightly higher than in 2012 (+0.8%), yet Hillary received slightly (around 100k) less votes than Obama did four years before her. So Democratic turnout overall has to have been down. Black turnout in particular was definitely down (for obvious reasons). To be fair though, the bigger difference was that Trump got 2m more votes than Romney.
