Not sure what you are struggling with here but you seem to be dodging this fact.

i agreed that it shouldn't be compared to the flu. however, there are comparisons to the flu, like a lot. there are comparative measures to take to prevent the spread which is rather important.
either way i'll agree i don't believe it should be compared to the flu, but that's mostly because people are dumb and people run around in public with the flu. if it's thought to be comparative to the flu in every way, no one would even bother caring.

that's not what you stated though. you are trying to peddle words around. the hoax was specifically thrown at the political bs around all of this.
