I hope Roseanne discusses mental health and her struggles without the blaming or excusing or minimizing

Fact: a history of comparing blacks to apes in her comments is racist
Fact: She has struggled with mental illness most of her life and had brain trauma that switched her personality so much that she had the Kinison effect where she became an impulsive and reckless comedian which obviously had good and bad results for her personally and professionally

Honesty and vulnerability can help open minded listeners better understand.

It's mental health awareness month and this is a great conversation to have. It's not about excusing behavior it's about understanding it and I really hope this great format (open multi hour conversation) helps her tell her story and her struggles without the bropseudoscience distractions.

If the show were to ever come back I would love for this real event to become a few episodes. The social media platform responsibilities and consequences, the mental health struggles, the stress of success, how a pioneer of progressive values can end up deep
in unfounded conspiracy and blatant racism and xenophobia

The profiteering off all of this shit just leaves me feeling disgusted no matter who is being built up or torn down. We can hold people accountable without holding them down, hopefully the opportunity to learn and grow together doesn't once again get pushed aside by the next shiny tweet or viral video that will be chewed up with hypocritical moral outrage and spit out into the bank accounts of the mainstream media

honestly all you need is a 4th grade civics lesson to understand the difference.

ironic that someone concerned with politics for profit wants someone fired like someone else who was fired for profit reasons.

this is yet another sad view into what the average person's brain power is.

I like Kimmel and I usually agree with him although recently I did not feel his mocking of Melania was consistent with his values

but he is back on track

Kimmel's values = virtue signalling + populism + occasional new opinion formed after his son almost died

This is the same man that dressed up a dude with a disorder that made him look like a kid and had him cold call women in the street, inbetween trampoline bikini slow motion montages.

At best Kimmel's opinions are new, and ever evolving with the populist perspective. at worst he's a liar who's come around to some hard truths based on sad family circumstances.

Supply and demand. Conservatives don't consume a large variety of news and journalism sources if you look at their viewership behavior. TV shows and news are providing content based on what most people want to see.

Conservatives are out tending to their yard, paying bills, and raising responsible families while Liberals are home collecting unemployment checks, keeping up with the Kardashians, and watching late night TV.
