This was my point to krackprophet, and he immediately fled the topic, lmao.

I checked myself this county & georgia map, votes ties, and it's pretty clear they are doing it to swap the elections at some point.

It's a clear cut case of voter suppression, not the worst i've seen, but it's an example. When you take away options of polling places, it makes it harder to vote, pretty plain and simple. A lot of people, in the south especially, don't have reliable transportation so it's not like they can go walk an extra few to several miles to a polling place, it would just be unrealistic.

Elections consultant fired over proposal to close Georgia precincts

https://politics.myajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/elections-consultant-fired-over-proposal-close-georgia-precincts/Hr6FBBXRJo6fVFixRur1mO/

Done. Ghot and krack : seriously get good guys.

Now reading the comments i copy/pasta this one:

"Small victories. It shouldn't take massive national backlash to stop these things though... for every proposal like this there's probably another dozen less obvious voter suppression attempts that fly under the radar."
https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/99qw4a/elections_consultant_fired_over_proposal_to_close/

I dont see a solution for USA at this point, i dont think it's even possible to fix it (or maybe, with Super-Bernie)

That's awesome news. Bet if you checked the voting history of the recently fired consultant, he is undoubtedly a republican voter.

A consultant recommends fiscally responsible action. It gets blown up into national media and he gets fired. Local officials disavow him and feign ignorance to avoid political backlash. Ya got me so good.

I didnt checked...

https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2018/08/23/us/ap-us-polling-places-proposed-closures.html

Consolidation has come highly recommended by the Secretary of State and is already being adopted by several counties and is being seriously considered and being worked on by many more.
“The trend in Georgia and other states is to reduce polling places to reduce election costs and this is being accomplished by consolidating polling places into more combined vote centers.”

hard to see a democrat saying this, or it was a nice manipulation .

Oh yeah, a trillion dollar pricetag tax cut scam for the wealthy/upper-middle class is fiscally responsible, but keeping a few polling places open (for a miniscule % of that price tag) is fiscally irresponsible. Ahahahah, yeah... your post doesn't reak of hypocrisy or anything[/sarcasm]

Huh? Are you saying investment into our democracy isn't important? Because that's what it sounds like you're trying to say, if not, elaborate please.
