Ask your Muslim friends what the Quran says about homosexual activity

Ask your Christian friends what the Bible says about homosexual activity.

My point though is that what the Bible, or any religious text, "says" is largely up to individual interpretation. As such, there are Christians who're anti-queer, and then others who are pro-queer. The same is true for Islam and Muslims.

The Quran is explicit on homosexual activity and is not up for debate by Islamic scholars. The bible differs from the Quran as the Quran is believed to be the direct word of God and not a collection of texts from various authors.

/e why is Christianity brought up every single time someone says something disagreeable about Islam?

The Quran is of course up for debate and interpretation. It's just a belief system. There is no "objective Islam", just as there is no "objective Christianity".

Because Christianity is brought up to show the inconsistencies in the line of argument that seeks to somehow separate Islam from all other religions in terms of suggesting that it has some monopoly on violence that other religions do not.

There are few topics (and I doubt he would get into them if they came up) that I wouldn't let Handcuffs take over.
