Wait, hold on, you literally believe that it's more likely that we're living in an alternate reality than a large number of people forgetting about a non-standard spelling they last read when they were seven?

Ya except metaphorically instead of literally because transcendence & we're at the feedback part of the supersymmetry where shit overlaps.

Muahahhaha circular thought

Because you don't understand momentum

If you believe in gravity, how is jumping straight up not overcoming the force that is constantly holding you down?

It's not overcoming the force that's hurling you to the side.

Sit in a moving car and throw a small object upward over and over until you get it.

I don't think he understands you would have to actually escape the atmosphere for what he wants to happen, to happen.

So this gravity simple ends at the edge of the atmosphere, yet it holds the entire moon in orbit right - how does that work?

thats an interesting thought, maybe gravity as we perceive it is more complicated than we think?

moon exerts its own gravity

gravity doesn't end anywhere it has an infinite range

The atmosphere helps maintain your lateral momentum.

If the earth is spinning at 1000 mph -that is a force to the east, and if you jump straight up , that force going to the east is still there right? You've simply overcome gravity for a split sec - so why do you land in the exact same spot? Maybe the Earth is not spinning.

Do what I said. Go sit in a car on the freeway that's going 70 mph and throw a GI Joe in the air over and over until you've answered your own question.
