It's just funny to see an Ozark hillbilly get you so riled up because his old religion disagreed with yours

Oh my, comparing humans to...trains, what a magnificent piece of teaching

Honestly, if you want to waste your life believing that you're essentially a puppet made by god, influenced by god, to serve god, then you enjoy yourself. Keep it to yourself, cos everyone else sees the weakness in you and it's not flattering.

Oh please, Jesus told parables using Earthly examples of what the Kingdom of Heaven is like. If the analogy of humans and trains makes you scoff then there is no way that you could understand the parables of the Earthly examples given about what the Kingdom of Heaven is like.

He might have got m4d over his suspension, idk. just a guess. I got tired of the reporting being all one sided, when there is plenty of flame that comes from his keyboard too.

...and still would rather call names than answer a very simple question.

You see there is a difference between looking up old dead peoples opinions on what this verse or that verse might have meant. But considering the multitudes of translations the water is so muddy I don't hold as much stock

in that, you see ultimately it comes down to what the bible says to me anyway and if I don't take it prayerfully as inspiration then I'm not using it the way I should.

Why would it be such a good thing to be considered an "Old Religion"? even though John Wesley wouldn't be a spring chicken by any stretch, there were circut riders bringing the word to families in the wilds of the frontier in our county's early life.

Stay down, stay silent and let those who actually know how to argue settle this.

...and so without any formal education whatsoever in the Bible and its languages you have chosen to do your own personal translation ?

You don't pay attention to what people say, or you infer way too much from what they say.

I have had education yes, I was on the path to becoming a licensed Local Pastor, it's the process a older person goes through when the traditional path of a young man fresh out of college and then into divinity school to reach ordination is impossible. It is actually longer time wise but the class room hours are cut down the book work is all done at home with some intensive hours of class time for discussion at the end of semesters. It's an eight year process to obtain elder status this way.

I answered your question. now how about just honestly answering mine? Do you think the only purpose Jesus had on earth was to die? And, do you consider the Bible to be god's living word?

...the primary mission of Jesus was to fulfill God's Covenant promises to Israel . It was not to preach an earthly , social gospel . I accept the Bible as the inspired word of God .

BTW , I have posted these comments scores of times on this very forum so perhaps you should be more cautious when accusing others of not paying attention .
