I almost forgot about Donna Hylton.
The Women's March was a real shitshow

I just read the wikipedia entry on her - it reads as if the first 20 years of her life consisted of nothing but being raped by every man she ever came into contact with.

So, according to herself, she was

- abused by her bipolar biological mother
- sold off by her mother to a childless couple from new york
- raped by her adoptive father at age 9
- sexually abused by her math tutor
- ran away to live with a man 10 years her age in Philly, who regularly raped her, urinated her, forced her to run around the room like a dog, burnt her with cigarettes.
- gave birth to this man's child at age 16
- abducted by a man whose advanced she had rejected, raped by him and one of his buddies
- when she reported this crime to the police, one of the responding detectives drove her to an unfamiliar location and - you guessed it - raped her.


I mean... maybe I'm an ignorant, unimaginative dick whose privilege suffocates all empathy... but I have a really hard time believing such a life story. This girl is either the unluckiest person to ever live, or parts of this early life story of hers are made up. If I had to guess, I'd say that she had a shitty childhood and was raped more than once, but made up even more incidents in an attempt at garnering sympathy during her trial, and later she found out that her dramatic and sad life story got her a foot in the door in women's rights activism.

She was adopted and raised in a stable foster home with good parents. She was a trouble child and ran away to become a prostitute and live with her pimp, and she murdered a john in cold blood. She had been diagnosed in juvie as a total sociopath who manipulates people and invented ficticious stories of abuse and fake rape accusations, and she falsely claimed her murder victim had been trying to rape her. She had falsely accused her foster parents and biological parents and basically everyone everywhere of raping her. Her victim never even touched her despite soliciting her for sex- he was asleep in his bed, face-down in a pillow with his arms under him. She admitted to other inmates she killed him just to feel what it was like to murder someone, then robbed him afterwards and brought the loot back to her pimp. She later assaulted prison staff and threatened to kill them.

Despite police detectives writing letters cautioning otherwise, Governor Bill Haslam commuted her sentence of life in prison and granted her clemency, which will set her free on August 7, 2019
Maybe once she's out, she'll join the Women's March
