Yeah its that easy right? No its not. There is no holy book of atheism, there is no need to try to narrow it down to a definition because theres many.

A general, broader definition could be:

Atheism is a lack of believe in the existence of deities.
Some atheists claim that there is no god, some do not - but they all share a lack of believe in the existence of gods.

You can be an agnostic atheist in case you didnt know. Agnosticism, Atheism..all those words people use to try to categorize people who dont give a flying fuzz about being categorized.

If you say: "Atheists claim there is no god" is like saying "Christians claim that the earth is only 6000 years old".

I think we disagree on definitions. I see atheism as the distinct believe in no gods/God (atheism)

I agree there are different levels of believe, in terms of lack of belief it ranges from agnosticism (mild, just fine) -> atheism (moderate, not a big deal) -> anti-theism (extreme, scum of the earth people)
