The key difference is that trump had a platform which was appealing, or at least tolerable, to half the country. Enough to win an election. AOC doesnt.

I'd bet her platform and rhetoric will be a lot more tolerable and appealing in 10-15 years when she has a decade and a half of building a base and experience and she gets a lot more politically savvy

she will either mellow to a less radical version of her current self, or crash and burn. sustaing a political career for 10-15 years and staying relevant outside of her D+37 district will not be possible if she stays as radical as she is now.
same would also apply to trump btw, there's no way someone like him could stay in a national and elected office over a period of 15 years. he'll have trouble winning the one reelection campaign he needs to run after 5 years in politics, and anything beyond that would be impossible. I'd guess that at least half his voters wouldl be sick of him less than 2 years into his 2nd term.
