the unconfirmed but probable story so far:
Jussie Smollett provided a spreadsheet of his phone logs to police but deleted several entries in it. They already had subpoenaed his provider and had his complete logs. So he did their work for them and they knew exactly which phone calls to examine, and found that he had been calling up other 2 other actors from Empire- they are apparently the two black men on video and were confirmed to be in the area via Lyft, having bought the clothesline at Ace hardware, traveled there from Wrigleyfield, staged the fake attack and then returned home.

You should familiarize yourself with the VA governors comments, and the calls across the country for killing babies up to the point of birth, including during labor.

so the confirmed bits are that his 'attackers' were black actors from empire
the unconfirmed bit is that they were on the phone with jussie smollett prior to the attack, and he purposefully doctored his phone logs to try to hide that, and that they were put in the area via lyft

there's still the possibility that the actual dynamics between jussie and the attackers were more complicated and it could have been a 'real' attack that he lied about for whatever insane reasons
but I think given what we've seen so far, we're 99%+ on it being a race baiting hoax
