No it's not too much to ask when someone says the reason HIV treatment didn't make headway is because the people affected weren't of privilege.

If you think HIV was ignored as a disease until the early 90s just because it didn't affect straight people or 'privilaged' people,whoever they are, that's a pretty dumb assumption, which i can maybe be swayed to believe if a single one of you actually showed it to be true with independent research.
