my theory is that Rey was an immaculate force baby created by midiclorions just like Anakin, creating a whole new line of super powered force users.

her mother was likely a junker who sold her.

dusty sand planet, immaculate birth, no father. all Abrahms knows how to do is copy the original movies. seems likely.

Re: NCT. US decides to pull out of the treaty vs staying in and forcing Russia to comply. Now we can just allow them to do whatever they want with nothing to question! Yay! Cold war v2! So much winning!

If only Trumps dad was as good at pulling out as this administration.

i'm sure the Intel community believes that ISIS has been defeated, are a danger in Syria that Russia should handle, and a risk of crossing the southern border, too.

The very reason Trump withdrew from this treaty is that the Russians didnt comply with it. So while the treaty was still applying, they did not comply, they broke it. How exactly do you think we could have used the treaty to force them to start complying again?

while i generally agree the whole "break a treaty to show them for breaking the treaty" thing is a bit odd. why bother making a big deal out of "withdrawing" from an agreement that's been rendered moot. especially since if we break it also, we're calling into question the moral legitimacy of the agreement we first made.

the sad truth is that "cold war methods" are the only way which stands a chance of forcing the Russians to stop their missile program. "strength" is the only language they understand.
